April DeBock

Vice President, Managing Partner

April was educated at the University of Maryland and Liberty University, and holds degrees in Communication and Business from New Jersey institute of Technology and Rutgers University in New Jersey. For over 25 years April has been managing restaurants, advertising agencies, and studio venues from Florida to NYC, prior to launching Lagoon Funatics with her partners, Scott Andreasen and Patrick Gassaway. Lagoon Funatics, in its first year, opened the Balmoral Crystalline Lagoon and Beach Club, the first lagoon licensed technology-based amenity in the United States in 2018, and in 2020 the Lago Mar Lagoon, America’s largest Lagoon, a 20-Acre Tropical Oasis in Texas City. 

In her current role as Managing Partner, April, a certified Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO), oversees all regional business operations including the financial, aquatics, safety and general planning and strategies. April is working with her partners within the Lagoon Funatics, LLC group, forming additional teams to expand the lagoon technology-based projects for mixed land use throughout the United States of America. 

In the summer of 2020, April and her team launched Blue Lagoon Operations, LLC, a multi-faceted lifeguard management and certification company specializing in water quality and safety for water-based amenity projects and facilities.
